In 1992 Pete Herr started The Creative Buffalo under the name PH Design. At the time Pete was creating designs burnishing on Letraset dry transfer letters and creating hand drawn logos and illustrations. As technology advanced, so did the projects that Pete could offer. In the late 90’s Pete changed the name to The Creative Buffalo, bought a computer and has been able to expand his design offerings.
Pete’s degree is in Scenic Design for the Theater. He has worked in professional theater and has spent the better part of the last three decades as a high school teacher. He has taught several theater courses, Journalism, Creative Writing, Marketing, Leadership, Public Speaking, and most recently, History Through Film. Pete also put his theatrical talents to work as the long time Visual and Performing Arts Department Chairperson, which also included being Production Designer, Technical Director and often Co-Director of many plays, musicals and showcases over 29 years. Pete is a three-time Teacher of the Year and is a member of both the Lancaster Youth Bureau Hall of Fame, and the St. Mary’s High School Performing Arts Hall of Fame.
Pete has used his design degree creating theatrical sets, displays, signs, custom woodworking and much more. Working on many different types of creative projects over the years, Pete has developed a list of trusted vendors to turn to for production of all types of printing, signs, and decorated apparel.
